- Smog Inspection
- Need to diagnos NOTE: If customer chooses to get repairs done elsewhere, customer is responsible to pay for an additional smog inspection $46.75 + smog certificate $8.25. If customer has repairs done here 2nd smog inspection fee is waived, customer is responsible to pay $8.25 for certificate.
- Run scan test (3) codes stores #P0420, #P0430 & # P0496. Test code #P0496 "Evap System Fault" Test, found purge valve leaking recommend replace purge valve.
- CUSTOMER REQUESTS REPLACE EVAP PURGE VALVE
- Test a/c inop, found low on Freon, evacuate system, vacuum down, add leak dye, charge and test, system has problem, low side goes into vacuum when running has restriction in system, need to diagnose.
- Evacuate A/C system, replace expansion valve, assemble , vacuum down, charge and test OK. A/C is nice and cold now customer can drive and advise. If cold air goes away bring back to shop to locate leak after filling A/C system with leak dye,
- NEEDS DRIVEN TO RESET OBD II READINESS MONITORS: Keep 1/4 – 3/4 fuel in tank, minimum 80 miles driven with (1) overnight cool down then an additional 20 miles prior to being brought back for smog certification customer will be responsible for $8.25 .
